Biography

Anna Westfall is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work often explores the complex relationship between memories, genetics, cycles in nature, and the systems in culture that inform identity. Her sculptures and installations attempt to embody energies, structures, and connections in the natural world while also speaking to human perception and the exploration of the intangible.

With various media such as porcelain, steel, and found objects, she attempts to capture the ephemeral and fluid nature of identity, while exploring an essence that exists beyond the inherent nature of these materials. Westfall earned a BFA from James Madison University and an MFA from the University of New Mexico.
